Ensure parts are free from grease, oil and other pollutants. Defects must be open to the surface. Dry the parts after cleaning. Recommended cleaner: KD-Check PR-1 (Ref. ) or PR-2 (Art. No. 9907).Apply Penetrant KD-Check FWP-1 to the clean and dry surface and allow to dwell for 5 – 10 minutes.Remove the excess Penetrant KD-Check FWP-1 from the surface under Black-Light-control, eithera) by rinsing it off with water orb) by wiping it off with a clean, lint-free cloth, barely dampened with cleaner KD-Check PR-1.Dry the surface.Apply a wafer-thin film of Developer KD-Check SD-1 (Ref. ) under Black-Light-control to thedry surface from a distance of about 20 cm. Too much developer may hide fine defects! Soon defects become visible as yellow-green fluorescent lines and development is complete after 5 – 10 minutes.
